Andi Lee Carter

Andi Lee Carter (he/him) writes in all media including plays, musicals, operas, and screenplays. He got his MFA in Musical Theatre Writing from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. He hosts a monthly cabaret called Verse Intro Cabaret at the Soho Playhouse featuring new musical theatre writers that has been running since March 2023. He was a 2023-2025 librettist fellow with American Opera Projects and member of the 2025 NYU Advanced Opera Lab. He is the founder and Artistic Director of Fish Out of Water Productions, a cross-cultural theatre collective created in Beijing, China in 2008. As a founding board member of Musical Theatre Factory in NYC, he has seen them develop hundreds of new musicals since 2014 including Broadway and Off-Broadway hits. Andi enjoys making short films, and he was a 2021 Documentary Intensive fellow with BRIC Arts Media. He loves all things sci-fi and he loves musicals so this podcast is a passion project in the works for many years.

Jonathon Lynch

Jonathon Lynch is a producer, songwriter, & music director. He is the creator, music supervisor, and host of the award-winning podcast, “Bite-Sized Broadway.” He was the music director for NPR's “Micro-Face: The Musical!” He was assistant music director & copyist for Finding Neverland (pre-Broadway workshop), and music director for The Giant Hoax, The City Club, & Powerline Road (off-Broadway). He is the songwriter of The Carousel of Inevitability and Certain Foreboding (w/ Freeman & Varod), inaugural winner of the NYPL for the Performing Arts' Musical Theatre Writing Fellowship; the award-winning The Baroque Cycle (Winterfest '22); and Peter & the Pied Piper (Lincoln Center '22 w/ Galvan). He is faculty music director at American Musical and Dramatic Academy & 92NY, a writer in Theatre Now New York's Musical Theatre Writers Lab, a composer in the Advanced BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Songwriting Workshop, and an alum of Northwestern University.

Briana Harris

Briana Harris is a Brooklyn-based librettist, lyricist, and occasional composer. A graduate of NYU’s Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program, she is a member of both the BMI Advanced Bookwriting Workshop and Theatre Now New York’s Musical Theatre Writers Lab. Her musicals, including PLUTO: A Rock Opera, Pompeii Rising, The Spectacle of Spectres: An Evening in the Green-Wood Cemetery, and The Axeman’s Jazz, have been featured in concert at venues across New York. She is the co-producer and host of Verse Intro Cabaret, a monthly series spotlighting new voices in musical theatre. She's also the creator of three board games: No Reservations (Anthropologie exclusive), Smokoland: The Friendship Trail, and Act Your Age (Barnes andNoble exclusives).

Chaz Cardigan

Chaz Cardigan is a versatile creator who has thrived in the age of algorithms. He’s created music for the YouTube Audio Library, had a top 15 Alternative radio hit with “Not OK!” in 2020, contributed “As I’ll Ever Be” to the NETFLIX film To All The Boys: P.S. I Still Love You, and has amassed 24+ million streams across all platforms. Cardigan composed the upcoming musical The Brass Teapot — a timely and magical dark comedy. Cardigan’s original score takes influence from show tunes and alternative rock, opening a new chapter of his career.

David Rigano

David is a NYC based playwright and director specializing in new musicals. With his brother Paul he has written Awaken: a Sleeping Beauty musical, Get the Duchess, We Were Wild, You Heard It Here (NY Winterfest Best Musical Score). He wrote The Holy Cows of Credence South Dakota and Facing East with frequent collaborator Mark-Eugene Garcia. David directed Wild Women of Planet Wongo, All Star: the Best Broadway Musical, Nutcracker! the musical, and his own award-winning You Heard It Here. His plays include What We Deserve (Next Stage Press), Not the Same Old Story & Life Lessons with Susan Gail (both Wide-Eyed Winks semi-finalists), and more. David co-hosts the official Drama Book Shop podcast with Mark-Eugene Garcia.

Doug Reside

Doug Reside is the Curator of the Billy Rose Theatre Division at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts, where he oversees archival acquisitions, the Theatre on Film and Tape video documentation program, exhibitions, programs, and researcher support. He also founded a musical theatre writing program in 2013 for emerging theatre makers. Reside holds a PhD from the University of Kentucky (2006). His book, Fixing the Musical: How Technologies Shaped the Broadway Repertory, was published by Oxford University Press in 2023.

Kit Goldstein Grant

Kit Goldstein Grant is a New York City based composer, lyricist and librettist. She recently wrote the musical MICRO-FACE, for NPR podcast PLANET MONEY, and her musicals have been seen in South Africa (THE NOSE) and at various venues in NYC including Theater Row (THE GIANT HOAX). Five of her musicals for young audiences have toured schools with the Schenectady Theatre for Children, includingIT’S RAINING TAMALES!, which is published by YouthPLAYS.Kit has studied at Juilliard, the BMI Musical Theatre Writing Workshop, and holds a M.M. in Composition from Brooklyn College. She is also a teaching artist, working with NJPAC, New York City Children’s Theater and the Metropolitan Opera and with her own company, Paper Kite Arts. Kit is a member of ASCAP, the Dramatist’s Guild, Composers Collective, and Theatre Now New York's Musical Writers Lab -www.tnny.org.

Paul Rigano

Paul Rigano is a composer, arranger, and music director, and the half of the Rigano Songbook that's more often sitting at the keys. As a pianist, he's gotten to tickle the ivories all over the world, including New York, Chicago, Texas, California, Italy, France, and Spain, mostly working on theatrical projects. Favorites include the world premiere of Be More Chill at Two River Theatre, Broadway Bounty Hunter at Barrington Stage, and sailing around the Mediterranean Sea as a dueling pianist aboard the MSC Seashore. On Broadway, he's served multiple roles in the music departments of the recent revivals of West Side Story, The Music Man, and Funny Girl. His arrangements can be heard on Ian Brodsky’s second album, Friendly Neighborhood Something or Other. He is very fortunate to get to make a lot of art that he's proud of with people he's proud to know.

Ramaa Mosley

Ramaa Mosley is a filmmaker and activist who directed her first documentary at the age of 16. Since then, she has directed feature films and hundreds of award-winning commercials and is a director and showrunner on premium television series. Ramaa has been named one of Shoot Magazine’s top 10 Female Directors and is the founder of the youth-focused advertising agency Adolescent Content. A vocal advocate for girls’ and women’s rights around the world, she is also known for launching the U.S. social media campaign behind Bring Back Our Girls.

Team HAB

TeamHAB is a musical theatre writing team featuring composer Henco Espag and book and lyric collaborators Andi Lee Carter and Briana Harris. The trio met as students in the NYU Tisch Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program. Their epic time-travel musical Pompeii Rising has been presented in concert at Judson Memorial Church. They have been members of the Theatre Now NY Writers’ Lab since 2021. Originally from South Africa, Henco Espag is on the faculty at St. Peter’s University and serves as music director and conductor for the Queer Big Apple Corps Symphonic Band and Judson Memorial Church. Andi Lee Carter is an alum of the American Opera Project’s Composers & the Voice program. Briana Harris is a member of the BMI Advanced Bookwriting Workshop. Since 2023, Andi and Briana have co-hosted and produced Verse Intro Cabaret, a monthly series that spotlights new work by emerging musical theatre writers.

Tim Macy

Tim Macy is an author, screenwriter and playwright. His work has been performed at The Kennedy Center, and two of his stories have been adapted into films. Currently, he has two feature films in pre-production. Tim lives in Kansas with his wife and two children. MFA University of Kansas.
